A really special commuity night was had in Claremorris last Monday night in the McWilliam Park Hotel. The gent that is Chef Neven Maguire gave generously and freely of his time to help Taugheen National School raise funds towards the building of a second Daisy Lodge in Cong - Daisy lodge is a therapeutic short break centre for children across the island of Ireland who have been diagnosed with cancer and their families.
The night was that wonderful mixture of young and old, established and new entrepreneurs from 18 to 80, everyone supporting and encouraging, and a vibe that makes you realised how important community is. Neven spent the evening teaching us all how to cook, using the best of Irish food products, giving a shout out to as many as he could.
