Some Easter Ideas using Velvet Cloud Sheep's Milk Yogurt

Happy Easter from all of us at Velvet Cloud!

For the time that's in it, here are a few of my favourite recipes tried, tested and genuinely  delicious. And as always, our sheep's milk yogurt is kinder on sensitive tummies than cow's dairy, so everyone at the table can enjoy them.

Overnight Oats Base — Swap out milk entirely and use sheep's yogurt as the liquid base for your overnight oats with chia seeds a few drops of vanilla and a pinch of cinnamon. This will be incredibly thick and creamy by morning.

Lamb Marinade — Mix yogurt with lemon, garlic, cumin and fresh mint, coat lamb chops or leg of lamb and leave overnight. The natural lactic acid tenderises the meat beautifully.

Yogurt Flatbreads — Just yogurt and self-raising flour, equal parts, mix and pan fry. No yeast, no proving, done in 15 minutes. Depending on what we are serving them with we sometimes add garlic and rosemary to the mixture.

Frozen Yogurt Bark — Spread yogurt on a lined tray, scatter over honey, berries and crushed nuts, freeze for 2 hours and snap into pieces. A high-protein snack that feels like a treat
