We’ve made it alive into week 2 ..just .. :( ..all was going really well until Maths Paper 1 on Friday afternoon, and then there were lots of tears! But with everything else so far so good (and maths seems to have been a challenge for all), we are still in optimistic mode.
Just a reminder if you are in the same exam stress boat as us, a Velvet Cloud smoothie with any kind of berries from the freezer or fridge, tastes lovely and sweet and at the same time is naturally high in protein, with no added sugar, has lots of phytonutrients from the berries and easy on sensitive tummies. High-protein snacks are great for resilience and keeping hunger at bay for longer, phytonutrients have antioxidant properties, and our Velvet Cloud yogurt has four live yogurt cultures :
Lactobacillus bulgaricus
Lactobacillus acidophilus
Bifidobacterium lactis
Streptococcus thermophiles
So with all the talk of gut-brain axes and the importance of gut health for brain health, we are hoping all the yogurt we are shoveling into the junior shepherd while tip-toeing around her, will pay off. A smoothie was gently placed on the desk at 8.00 am this morning, while the last-minute cram was going on, it made me feel better anyway as I tiptoed out of the room. Sending virtual positive vibes to anyone else in an exam house this week!
