A delicious idea for peaches or nectarines

I’ve noticed lots of peaches and nectarines in the shops at the moment, and have a delicious snack /breakfast/dessert idea which I got from our Austrian au pair Eva. Eva was the only experience we had with an au pair and she came to stay with us when junior shepherd number four was due to arrive in this world, which is 17 years ago this Thursday!  We are still in touch with Eva and I remember her every time I make this. You cut a peach or nectarine in two, put the halves in a baking dish skin side down, and put a tiny blob of butter on each half, roast in the oven at 200 degrees C for about 15 mins. Serve with a huge blob of Velvet Cloud yogurt, the sweetness of the fruit and the creaminess of the yogurt work superbly together.  Sometimes I add a sprinkle of cinnamon with the butter, Eva used to add a sprinkle of brown sugar for extra sweetness. Enjoy
