Irelands Best New Cheese - Cloonbook - Limited Edition Extra Mature Small Wheel

This cheese was awarded The Best New Irish Cheese at the 2024 CAIS Irish Cheese Awards. We only have a few limited edition small cheese wheels in stock,  which have been aged for six months. 

Cloonbook is an Irish grass-fed cows milk cheese, made in the West of Ireland. It is the only Irish farmhouse cheese based on a French Pyrenees Ossa Ouray Oraty recipe and is a semi-hard cow's milk cheese with a natural rind. 

Made with pasteurized cow's milk, with a natural rind, it is creamy and buttery in the mouth with slightly sweet undertones and is fab for grating.  This cheese would be the perfect centrepiece for a cheese board, or make a fabulous unique gift for the cheese lover in your life, or why not just treat yourself because you definitely deserve it . Rounds weigh approximately 800 - 1 kg.
