Some lovely news this afternoon, we’re thrilled to announce that the only two products we entered into the Great Taste Awards 2025 walked away with a total of three coveted stars—real proof of the the quality at the heart of our products. Velvet Cloud Yogurt was declared 'outstanding' with a 2-star award, while our Cloonbook Irish Farmhouse Cheese received a 1-star seal of approval for simply delicious taste.
Why is this so special? This year, over 14,000 products from across 100+ countries were blind-tasted by more than 500 industry experts as part of the world’s largest and most trusted food awards. With fewer than 10% of these thosands of products achieving a 2-star rating and 25% a one star rating we are beyond proud
What the judges specifically said about our Velvet Cloud Live Sheeps yogurt

This is a lovely, glossy yoghurt with a delightful consistency. It is sharp and tangy from the lactic acidity, but also clean-tasting and has a soft creaminess to it without being overly rich.
A wonderfully creamy, very gently lactic yoghurt with perceptible sheep milk character. Remarkably gentle in impact for a live yoghurt and very easy to eat. Even children would love this, we imagine; we certainly did.
This is a gorgeous white creamy yoghurt, delicate and lemony. For a sheeps' milk yogurt it is not overpoweringly sheepy; the delicacy is clever, and you know this would be such a versatile product. It literally feels as if it is doing you good.
What the judges specially said about our Cloonbook Irish Farmhouse Cheese

As a farmhouse cheese, this really delivers on flavour – rich, deep lactic tang and very clean mouthfeel – crying out for a lump of freshly baked soda bread and good butter. It is very hard for a semi-hard but would undoubtedly grate well and be very versatile. We would have liked to know where this cheese came from, at least country and county. The tangy taste has a really enjoyable clean, long finish.
A rustic cheese with an air of maturity, this has an enticing depth of lactate on the nose. A crumbly texture releases a savoury flavour which is clean, simple and tasty/. This is very much a good example of a three month old cheese.
This large wedge of good-looking cheese has a golden, crumbly paste. It has a funky nose. There is a crunchiness on the palate and some sweet, salty nuttiness.
