The house is very quiet today
So for the first time in months, the house is silent. I have my office in the house, and all summer long I’ve been interrupted with the comings and goings of the junior shepherds and their friends. But now, the first junior shepherd is graduating next week and has started his big boy job in Dublin, so he’s off the books and officially an adult no matter how I think about it. Second junior shepherd is going into her final year in college but working with her Dad in the dairy this week so isn’t around. The third junior shepherd had her last - back to school morning, this morning, as she headed into leaving cert, and my baby (who is now 16 ) is starting transition year. So, its just myself and the dogs for company.
