I was going to write a really joyful email about Junior Shepherd number 3 surprising herself and all of us with fantastic results and her tears of joy. I was going to contrast it with my own tears of misery 35 years ago when I missed the points for veterinary, and then add some philosophical observation about how life takes you where you are meant to go. But none of that really matters, my daughter and her friends went out to celebrate on Friday evening and came home, I got to hug her yesterday and this morning, that’s what matters. It feels like the whole of Ireland is sending virtual hugs to the families in Clonmel, but will any of that matter?
