2023 Eurotoque Ireland Food Awards
I came back last night after the most amazing day in Dunbrody Country House Hotel attending the 2023 Eurotoque Ireland Food Awards. Some of you read previously that we were already thrilled to have been shortlisted (which means we were nominated by Ireland's best chefs), but now we've only gone and won the overall dairy award. The award was the best dairy product and I quote to "Velvet Cloud for their outstanding Sheep Milk Yogurt and their contribution to championing Ireland’s rich and flavoursome dairy bounty"
These are awards you don't enter, and you don't canvas votes, in fact, you never know, who nominated you, so they are truly independent and are such an honour to be selected for. Thank you, Manuela, Kim, Anthony, Conor, Aisling, Sham and Chef Kwanghi Chan for a wonderful day and for organising such a special celebration of artisan food. Thank you to La Rousse Foods for supporting the day, and Kevin Dundon, Cathy and the team for hosting us all. The photos tell a better story than I can.
